Lovitt will be repressing the "weapons" vinyl with a bonus demo track of "there will be no more scum" (originally appearing on a T&N comp). What should we do?
1. Picture vinyl with NO insert... one side is the Frodus head and the other the cover art.
2. Regular 12" sleeve with fancy full color insert and colored vinyl.
Help us decide..
thank you.

Picture discs seem pretty in these days, but I'd personally rather see the regular sleeve, and colored vinyl. It is a tough choice though.
What are the odds of getting both?
I want have cake, and to eat it too.
Either way I'll pick it up. I was just curious.
Heavy black vinyl please. Looks, sounds and feels the best.
Yeah, I'd like heavy vinyl above all too. I lean more towards the colored vinyl and insert. I'd actually want to play it and sometimes picture discs get torn up.
Having wax pressed isn't that cheap... I don't think they'll go for 2 different versions.
thanks for the ideas... i think thick 180gram black vinyl would be classy, i'll see if we could do some of the thick vinyl in color too - may be expensive, we'll see what lovitt says. I want to make the inserts to be all the photos as seperate little postcards with the lyrics on the back. alright... great! woo!
Yeah, this record deserves the 180 gram vinyl treatment. Picture discs look cool, but sound like ass.
I can't even begin to tell you guys how pumped I am about this. I have the original Day After pressing, but a heavyweight vinyl pressing will be unfuckwithable.
Also, here's a thread I started over at Vinyl Collective:

Wow, nice use of unfuckwittable. Nice to know we've got a hip hop head here.
Cool... but Ronnie...
It was originally supposed to be released by T&N, but they got dropped because they knew they were breaking up before the record came out. FBR ended up putting out the CD, and the original vinyl pressing was done by Day After Records in the Czech Republic.
Any chance of other represses? I'd love to see F-Letter back in print.... or own an original press.
Thanks for setting me straight! I apologize for the spread of any misinformation. But let me take this opportunity to reiterate my excited-ness about this.
As for demand, I know of a lot of people who would buy any represses in a heartbeat.
Also, is there any chance that we would get the original version of "Weapons" on the repress, or would the runtime be too long? Back when the record was "in limbo", I e-mailed Nathan to ask what was up because I was really anxious to hear it, and he sent me a cassette with the whole record on one side, and Cave In - Jupiter on the other. I remember the build-up between "The Earth Isn't Humming" and "There Will Be No More Scum" was a lot longer than what ended up on the final version that was released. Anyway, just curious.
maybe you had the unmastered version, i wouldn't have any idea where to find the DAT tape with the unmastered longer build-up... what will come out is the same verison of the album as it is now with an extra demo track of "there will be no more scum" and a short guitar-only instrumental thing (about 50 seconds long) called Andromeda that never made the cut.
Well I'm happy either way, I was just curious.
Also, if you ever feel like giving the 2" tape away, I'll gladly take it off yr hands :]
GREAT NEWS
You just saved a bunch of money by switching your car insurance to geico?
Sorry, that was my horrible joke of the day.
frodus picture disk with the geico caveman on it?
I like the one where he says he's only there because gecko sounds like geico. "If geico sounded like, I dunno, a puma, there'd be an adorable little cat sitting here instead of me."
i like the caveman on the moving walkway at the airport with the royksopp song. he looks so embarrassed.
Didn't they make a spin off show of the cavemen guys? Did anyone ever see it?
Not surprisingly, it did not last. (I never saw it.)
That show was going places.......
....coincidentally it was the toilet.
besides, it was a total rip off of that other show about the intelligent-yet-bourgeois neanderthals... Friends.
oh snap.
nbc just got served
It actually was a good show. Very strong satire on racism and the class structure in places like LA. I find that people over 40 don't get the jokes about ikea or gluten free diets so they bad mouth it.
Ooooh, maybe Phoebe and Barack can get together!! It's true love. I hope she likes pork.
...and reunions...
this is great. i started listening to you guys around 2002, never bought this vinyl, or could never afford a copy of it since it has become OOP. I have most of the 7"s, F Letter, and Commemorate International on vinyl, but could never get this one....whats the update? Is this still happening? I know it takes awhile for something like this to come together, but im just curious.
Yeah... email brian@lovitt.com and tell him you heard that its happening and want to get it.. he's being slow on giving me production dates for it! hahaha.. don't tell him i sent you.. just anonymously get excited. ;)
thanks frodiis!
i think i should just post this again:
is there any chance that an e-mail or anything get sent out to the users at this forum before the records go up for sale? i have a feeling that this will sell out before i even find out it's up, and we wouldn't want that to happen.
Become a friend with FCI on myspace or facebook. You will get mad bulletinz. Shelbot is pretty good about posting things here before they happen anyway.
