  • mrturbs0mrturbs0 October 2010

i moved out to LA last month and have been doing a lot of exploring the area. hopefully i'll be checking out some cool shows over the next few months and getting going on some art/editing projects.

  • commonercommoner October 2010

I am in the middle of moving... not far, just across town but still fun.

    sounds like good stuff!

    there is a caf

  • jacobslippers October 2010

I really like the Travelers of Tyme stuff a lot, so new material sounds exciting! Does the post-Cassettes group have a name, or is that still under wraps??

  • frodusfrodus October 2010

Still under wraps- want to release the images and everything with the name so it makes sense conceptually! Stay tuned! bzzt! :D glad you like TOT- I'm loving it! We even made sequels to such Frodus songs "Purvis Dawson", the story continues...!

  • Woah... frodus board!

Uh, yeah, I'm a couple weeks away from actually doing something with my band. I guess we cover the full emo spectrum. Some stuff borders on mineral/promise ring. Other stuff borders on Max Colby. It makes more sense when you hear it all together. It took me over a year to get everything to gel and I'm ready to rock now. I haven't had a good feeling about a band I've been in since 2005. It's a welcome change.

  • frodusfrodus October 2010

Wow - can't wait to hear Mr. Rev Sum! Totally Frodus board. How about the old Decahedron board for internet memories?! Heh heh.

  • mike October 2010

Not really up to anything. Feeling like I should quit my job.

This post-Cassettes mystery project sounds great so far. I am glad to hear talk of touring with it.

  • sasquatch October 2010

2nd to last semester of college, showing movies at the campus theater. going to see Tim and Eric Live December 1st

  • Recently listened to Molotov Cocktail Party, Fireflies and F-Letter for the first time, which was great fun! Very...jolly albums, some of them almost feel like Mr. Bungle crossed with punk. Which I like.

Also finally ordered the Conglomerate International vinyl and am expecting it any day week now! (shipping costs way out to Iceland are annoying, though :[ ) I'll see of I can use it to make some new Frodians out here on the iceberg.

Also trying to get this punk project working with some friends, although studies make time a far too scarce resource : (

    Overall, fun times abound!

Oh yes, I also joined some Frodus forum...perhaps you guys have heard of it?

  • frodusfrodus October 2010

Welcome to the forum! Glad you enjoyed and explored the early beginnings!

  • The winter seems to have just taken a turn for the better! My copy of Conglomerate International recently arrived, and it is quite a sight to behold. The small badge that came along with it was also pretty rad, and will be very fun to wear with my Thrice t-shirt~

I believe the next step will be to listen to it, which I'll probably use my aunt's record player, as I seem to be lacking one of my own...

...I'll see if I can convert her to our Frodian ways while I'm at it.

  • lobbyestlobbyest November 2010

Currently at home for Thanksgiving but going back to school soon, wrapping up my third to last semester. I'm excited to be graduating a year from now. Speaking of record players, I need to get a new one soon, anyone know of the best places to look?

Musically, I'm waiting for my drummer to finish mixing the EP we recorded at the end of summer, I've heard clips of it so far and I like it and I'm really ready to hear the rest of the songs, I'm happy to be a part of something that I care about musically for once. I use to play in a death metal band and that got extremely boring.

Other than that, planning for Christmas break and deciding if I am going to try to work for the few weeks I'm home

  • My Frodian adventures of the FCI vinyl keep going!

Finally got a vinyl player, so I decided I'd finally listen to the thing. Quite brilliant to hear it in vinyl. Attention: Remove was quite a surprise, too, rather...unusual. Sort of reminds me of Credo from the early days, only more Conglomerate-y.

    Definitely top-notch stuff.

Next: To collect some old vinyls from my aunt that she no longer listens to!

My plans.. not much fun to be had here: I have surgery to get my gallbladder yanked out and then I'm deploying to Iraq for 9-11 months.
