Pre-selling shows

I thought this was an interesting idea: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/KimBoekbinder/the-impossible-girl-in-new-york

This woman is pre-selling her shows using Kickstarter. Might be a fun way to book a tour for, say, The Cassettes maybe? :)

That's a good idea... she seems to be just pre-selling ONE big show with lots of guests and webcasts, etc.. a cool idea! I should do this with Triobelisk so I can have a crazy futuristic stage set.. it would work with Cassettes too- we can have a real hot air baloon and insane setup... a good idea, thanks for sharing this!

I should Kickstart a Frodus video game... though I would have to think what it would entail, some sort of RPG-ish 16-bit thing I think! :)

  • A game would be really cool!

    A Frodus video game...  WOW.
What would you do for the in-game music?
    Maybe Triobelisk covers of Frodus...
Actually, I think that the Shelby Cinca Electronic 1 and 2 would work well.

I think it could be kind of like Elevator Action...
Not the exact same, but the idea of sneaking through a building and stealing files while dodging men in black suits...  And at the end of each level you must call 4888 at a phone booth or cell, then a black van comes and picks you up and takes you to the next level!

Yeah- a mashup of Elevator Action with some RPG elements and stories... maybe even some side-scrolling fighting like Streets of Rage, hahaha... I think it could be great. Based around "Conglomerate International themes. Electronic Frodus covers would fit quite well!

  • I'd love to see this come into fruition. :D

Yeah, most def would be cool to have some RPG elements...  makes me think of River City Ransom or Scott Pilgrim vs. The world (which was totally influenced by River City Ransom!)

I think a side scrolling beat em' up element would be great as well...

Maybe I'll work on some pixel art ideas......

Yeah- I'd need to find a coder, the one I work with likes a bit more abstract gaming. But if I found someone down to code it I think it can be definitely done!
